Just a reminder, through Oct. 25, law enforcement agencies across North America will beef up their traffic enforcement for the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance’s Operation Safe Driver Week.

Targeting both commercial motor vehicle drivers and four-wheelers, law enforcement in the United States, Canada and Mexico will increase traffic enforcement, safety belt enforcement, driver roadside inspections and driver regulatory compliance.

Operation Safe Driver aims to combat the number of deaths from large truck, buses and car crashes via heightened enforcement and education. According to CVSA, nearly 4,000 people are killed and 100,000 more injured in large truck and bus crashes. CVSA recognizes that many of these crashes are a result of unsafe drivers, including car drivers.
