October was a Great Month for Class 8 Truck and Trailer Sales

October sales for Class 8 Trucks showed an increase in sales over the month of November, according to ACT Research, the research firm that publishes a monthly State of Industry Report. The area that really shone, however, is trailer sales, which had a whopping 43% increase in sales. Trailer orders showed a 6 percent year over year increase, totaling 24,900 trailer orders in October.  The increase is truck and trailer sales is promising, but given the instability of the market, it is certainly much too early to say whether or not the trend has continued throughout November and December.
