Once again, the FMCSA has waived the Hours Of Service restrictions for those drivers that are delivering propane due to the storms and harsh weather conditions in the North East and the Mid West. The exemption includes a whopping 24 states, became effective on January 19th, and is set to expire on February 11th, 2014 at 11:59 PM. Any drivers who are driving under this exemption must be certain to carry a copy of the waiver with them. The FMCSA has implemented the waiver because the harsh winter has caused propane shortages in some areas. The states included in the exemption are: Connecticut, D.C., Delaware, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, New Jersey, New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Virginia, Vermont, West Virginia, Illinios, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio and Wisconsin.
