Stunned Oregon couple are handed a $2MILLION bill from Verizon over phone plan they canceled

An Oregon couple were stunned to be landed with a Verizon bill for more than $2million on a phone plan they had for just a month.
Ken Slusher, of Damascus, paid a down payment on a new house this week and was looking forward to moving in soon with his girlfriend and their children.
But the cost of his brand new house is dwarfed by the enormous balance Verizon claimed the couple owe on their account.

FOX12 reported that when Slusher called an automated phone line to check his account balance, a voice recording states: ‘Your total amount due is $2,156,593.64.’
With such a huge debt on his shoulders, Slusher fears he will lose his new house as his mortgage company won’t sign off on his loan.

‘If I don’t get this straightened out in the next 24 hours, I can almost guarantee I’ll lose this house,’ he told FOX12.
Slusher said he and his partner opened an account with Verizon in November last year and bought two phones.
But they canceled the service after just a month after noticed huge discrepancies on their bills and returned both phones to a local store in January.
