TCA plegdes its members to hire 50,000 vets in next 4 years

Setting the course for a new year, the Truckload Carriers Association has announced a commitment on behalf of its 700 member companies to hire 50,000 veterans and military spouses into the truckload industry over the next four years. TCA is working to secure hiring pledges for all 50,000 jobs during the first quarter of 2015, and to achieve 100 percent placement in those positions before the end of 2018.
Along with addressing the trucking industry’s ongoing need for new drivers and mechanics, “Operation Heroes To Highways” will help resolve one of the largest challenges in America — veteran unemployment, according to TCA President Brad Bentley.
