Trucker Pumps $1500 in Fuel and Drives Off

In Emporia, VA, a Simmons Travel Plaza manager reported a robbery. But it's not what typically comes to mind when you think of  a robbery. A driver of a tractor truck, which could have been either a Freightliner Cascadia or Columbia, pumped 414 gallons of fuel for $1500 and then drove away without paying. The truck was not pulling a trailer, had a moose on the front grill, front wheels with either extended or spiked lugs and back wheels with black inserts. Another distinguishing feature noted by the store manager was a blue light in the top corner and an amber colored light in the bottom corner. Virginia has strict "drive off" laws and the driver could loose his license if caught. For more information, please continue reading here.
