Volvo Searching for Safest Fleet

Once again, Volvo Trucks, sponsored by Michelin Americas Truck Tires is on the hunt to find and award the safest truck fleets in North America. The winners of the award will receive $25,000 to be used for their "safety-related activities."  There will be two divisions, one for more than 20 million miles driven, and one for less than 20 million miles driven. The Safety award is open to all fleets in North American fleets that are operating at least five Class 8 units. At least one of those units needs to be a Volvo in order to apply for the award. The fleets will be judged on the frequency of accidents and the accident prevention activies of the fleet. Entries will be excepted until July 31, 2014 and the winner will be announced at the American Trucking Assns.’ Management Conference & Exhibition in October 2014.
