A "big chunk" of drivers have stated in the survey that when the ELD Mandate comes into effect sometime in 2016, the driers will quit. In fact, 70% of the 2,300 indepentent drivers said that if required to use ELD's they will quit, and the same was said by 52% of leased on/company drivers. The ELD mandate may not be the heart of the sudden exodus of drivers and the main proble may actually be a perceived overregulation that has the drivers getting fed up. The ELD mandate has come shortly after last years' Hours of Service rule changes. You can read more here.
